It’s summer, it’s time for Obliteride and we’re ready to launch one of the season’s best events with a party to match. This is our way of thanking you, our supporters, for the amazing fundraising you’ve done to advance cancer research at the Hutch. All Obliteriders who fundraised $500 or more receive two complimentary tickets - including you, an Obliteride Fundraising Volunteer. Please RSVP using the code emailed to you.

Want to bring more friends? (That’s great!) Additional guest tickets may be purchased. An RSVP and a ticket are required to enter the party, so make sure everyone gets signed up early!

What to pack for volunteers

  • We suggest that you wear light fabrics, comfortable shoes, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
  • Please keep in mind that all activities are outdoors, so you might consider packing layers in case we experience inclement weather.
  • Each volunteer will receive one volunteer specific t-shirt during their shift(s). There are limited areas to change clothing, so plan on wearing a t-shirt or tank top that your volunteer shirt can easily fit over.
  • We recommended that all volunteers eat before arriving for their shifts. While snacks and a light meal will be provided during your shift, you are still welcome to bring a small cooler for snacks, especially if you have any dietary restrictions.
  • Personal items, such as purses and backpacks, should be left at home. You are welcome to leave jackets, water bottles and non-valuables in the volunteer tent.

Timing and Check-In

Please arrive for your shift at least 15 minutes prior to it’s start time. You can check in at the Volunteer Tent, it will be well marked. If your volunteer shift is at Gas Works Park remember to allow time to catch the shuttle from UW parking. Details for that can be found in Parking, Shuttles and Lyft above. You have signed up for an exact shift time, please expect to be helping out for all of it. If you find yourself with empty hands, let your area lead know and they may be able to send you where more help is needed. Please check out with your area lead before leaving your shift.
